Xiaomi never has enough launches, it seems, so after debuting the Redmi Pro model last week, now it’s apparently preparing a Redmi Pro Mini. Various leaks have pointed us in that direction and you can check out a teaser below.
This “lite” version of the Redmi Pro has some pretty solid specs, starting with the 2.5D AMOLED screen with a 5.2 inch diagonal. Inside we’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 CPU, which if I’m not mistaking is the minimum spec to play with VR on a phone. The device will have 3 versions, one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and two with 4 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage.
Prices will go from $225 to $255 and $285 respectively. Xiaomi has also integrated here a fingerprint scanner upfront and a 4000 mAh battery with fast charging support. Don’t expect this phone anytime soon, but rather in a few months and potentially with a different naming pattern.
