TP-Link is best known for making routers and they’ve been in the biz for 20 years now, but they’ve entered the smartphone segment this year. We were lucky enough to score one such smartphone for a review and I’m talking about the TP-Link Neffos C5 Max model here. This device is a $200 unit, that looks a lot like the LG G3.

The handset has a very stylish UI and uses a plastic case with a removable back cover. It comes in pearl white or dark grey and inside its box we find the charger, USB Cable, headphones and manual. It’s a reasonably thick phone at 8.95 mm in waistline and it weighs a reasonable 161 grams at a 5.5 inch diagonal. The good thing is that we get a Full HD screen for this price, not an HD one.

Inside there’s the typical octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor, together with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. We also get a microSD card slot, 13 megapixel back camera (with nice UI too) and 5 MP selfie shooter. This is a dual microSIM phone with LTE support and a 3045 mAh battery, that sounds pretty good. Neffos C5 Max is actually part of a triplet, that also includes the C5 and C5L.

We’ll be back with a full review ASAP.
