HTC launched today two new handsets, from the Desire series and also inaugurated the HTC Desire 10 series. That range includes the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and HTC Desire 10 Pro models, with midrange specs and a brand new design approach.
These products have been teased for a while now and the leaks have revealed a very appealing looking design. The two handsets have similar looks, but the real difference is in the specs department. HTC Desire 10 Pro has a fingerprint scanner at the back, plus a camera with dual LED flash and a laser focus mechanism. The build is solid and the gold accent stands out.
Four colors are available: Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue and Valentine Lux. Now let’s see what the hardware is all about!
HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle:
- CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, quad core, 1.6 GHz
- RAM: 2/ 3 GB
- Storage: 16/ 32 GB
- Display: 5.5 inch, 720p
- Camera: 13 MP back camera/ 5 MP front shooter; F/2.2 aperture for both
- Battery: 2700 mAh
This model also has 24 bit high res acoustics, following the lead of the HTC 10.
HTC 10 Pro:
- CPU: MediaTek Helio P10 octa core
- RAM: 3/4 GB
- Storage: 32/64 GB
- Display: 5.5 inch, Full HD
- Camera: 20 MP back cam, laser focus, dual tone flash, F/2.2 aperture/ 13 MP front camera

Interestingly, this model does not offer high res audio, unlike the smaller one. At least it has a fingerprint scanner, unlike the smaller unit. Connectivity is covered with LTE, WiFi dual band, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2.
The Desire 10 Lifestyle is rolling out today in some markets, priced at $324, while the Desire 10 Pro comes next month.
