Over the past month, during IFA 2016 Huawei introduced its brand new handset series, the Nova range, that includes some very appealing midrangers. Now we learn of the main model’s release time frame for the Chinese market. It appears that it’s going to launch there on October 6th, together with a new ambassador for the brand.
While Leonel Messi is the global brand ambassador, a new spokesperson for the Nova brand will be debuted this time. Interestingly, the Nova Plus won’t come to China, because it’s the same with the locally sold Huawei G9 Plus, already launched in the country a while ago. Huawei Nova sports a metal body, a glossy camera strip at the top of the back and uses a 2.5D glass panel upfront.
It relies on an octa core Snapdragon 625 CPU, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. The main camera is a 12 MP shooter with F/2.2 aperture and PDAF, plus 4K video capture, a feature which is not even available on the P9 models. Selfies are taken with an 8 MP camera and the battery is a 3020 mAh unit. VoLTE support and 4G LTE are here, in a 7.1 mm waistline.
The pricing is $448 in other parts of the globe, but it may be lower in China.
