After a long period of speculations, leaks and certifications, the HTC Bolt is finally official, having been announced today. The device has a HTC 10-style design and comes with a Quad HD 5.5 inch screen, plus more solid specs, detailed below.
Interestingly, the HTC Bolt name is no coincidence, since the carrier Sprint signed athlete Usain Bolt to promote this handset. It comes with a 5.5 inch 2560 x 1440 pixel screen, an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. There’s also a 16 megapixel back camera with OIS and F/2.0 aperture, as well as the ability to shoot 4K video.
Selfies are taken with an 8 MP shooter. As you probably noticed already, there’s a Home button with fingerprint scanner below the screen and we also get a 3200 mAh battery on board, with Quick Charge 2.0 support. The device gets certified within the IP57 standard for dust and water resilience and it comes with Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense on top.
There’s no audio jack here and we do get a set of BoomSound Adaptive Audio USB Type C connector headphones, with Hi-Res 24 bit sound., Priced at $599 in USA, the phone may also come to other regions as HTC 10 Evo.
