Prolific US firm BLU has debuted a new phablet, a model with a 6 inch screen panel and midrange specs. The device seems to be pretty slim, at least judging by its pictures. So let’s see what this model brings, specs-wise.

The phablet provides a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and relies on an IPS panel. Inside we find a quad core MediaTek MT6737 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz, accompanied by a Mali-T720 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot here, with support for cards up to 64 GB in size. There’s a 13 megapixel camera at the back, with LED flash and the cam is able to film in Full HD at 30 FPS.

We also get a 5 MP front shooter, with its own LED flash, so this is a good selfie cam. On the connectivity front, we find Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, microUSB 2.0, 4G LTE and dual SIM slots. BLU Studio XL2 packs a 4900 mAh battery, that should provide 72 hours of usage (on paper), or up to 30 days of standby usage. BLU’s new product is available in gray, gold or pink and seems to sport a pretty looking 2.5D glass panel upfront.
