The big day is here and Gionee finally unveiled its first handset with a dual back camera. I’m talking about the Gionee S9, that’s pictured below and has midrange specs, plus a pretty good price. The unveiling went down in China and that’s where the phone will first be sold.

Priced at $365, the device comes with a dual back camera setup, that involves a 13 MP sensor and a 5 MP sensor as well. Gionee S9 also takes nice selfies thanks to a 13 MP front camera and also brings a MediaTek Helio P10 octa core processor, clocked at 2 GHz, plus 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. This generous array of features is completed by a microSD card slot and Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with Amigo 3.5 OS on top.

Upfront we’ve got a LTPS 5.5 inch Full HD screen and the body is made of metal, with rounded edges and small bumps for the cameras. Gionee’s newcomer relies on a 3000 mAh battery and weighs 168 grams, making it a bit heavy. It’s 7.4 mm thick, which is reasonable for its size. Finally, Gionee S9 has 4G VoLTE support, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

It’ll be sold from November 25th in China, in gold, rose gold and black.
