Since Sony feels so threatened by the gaming potential of the iPhone, why wouldn’t Palm Pre be an excellent gaming platform as well? Specially now, that it runs a PlayStation emulator and plays a great Wipeout game, as you can see in the video below:
ZodTTD is the developer behind this software and he also created some of the best jailbroken iPhone emulators. He is developing a PSX emulator for Pre, known as psx4all and it’s a pleasant surprise to see that webOS handles games quite nicely.
Strangely enough, the developer claims that Pre performs better than Apple’s iPhone 3GS, but there are still some issues that need to be fixed before the final version of the emulator is out. Sound output, scaling and screen rotation are among them and ZodTTD also announced a couple more emulators for Pre (Game Boy Advance, TurboGrafx-16 and more).
