After some leaks and certifications, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is finally here, complete with a dual camera and a generous battery. This time the phone doesn’t have 3X optical zoom like the predecessor, but rather 2.3X optical zoom. Let’s see what’s new!

The newcomer has a huge 5000 mAh battery, but what’s more impressive is that it crams it within a chassis less than 8 mm thin. It can also serve as a power bank and comes with a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen and a rear fingerprint scanner. At the back we find a main 12 megapixel camera with F/1.7 aperture, dual pixel phase detection and laser autofocus, as well as 4 axis OIS and 3 axis EIS.

Then there’s the other camera, a 12 MP shooter with 2.3X optical zoom and 59 mm focal length. ASUS also threw in a Portrait Mode, similar to the one of the iPhone 7 Plus and letting you play with bokeh effects in pictures, plus a “natural depth of field” added to the pic. The handset weighs 170 grams, offers a Snapdragon 625 processor, up to 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Somehow this model only comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it’ll be available in February. Can’t wait to see it in action!
