UMi had a few interesting devices launched over the past year and now we’ve received two for testing purposes. One of them is the UMi Super, an affordable 4GB RAM smartphone, priced at just $169 on GearBest.com. We unboxed it below.

This is a 5.5 incher with a metal body and inside its box there’s a charger, USB Type C cable, metal key and manual. Launched last summer, the device came in a pretty beaten down box, which we’re sorry for, but it’s the fault of the transportation. The handset sports a metal body, that relies on magnesium and aluminum. Its specs include a 5.5 inch Full HD screen with a Sharp panel and the standout point of the design is a Home button with a multi color LED included.

It’s simply mesmerizing and hipnotic, if you ask me and it also shows notification and the charging status. UMi Super has a 2.5D Glass panel with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the OS here is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Available in gray, gold or silver, this product has a fingerprint scanner at the back, a MediaTek Helio P10 octa core CPU and 4 GB of RAM.

There’s also 32 GB of storage, a 4000 mAh battery and a 13 megapixel main camera, plus a 5 MP front shooter. It’s a dual SIM device, with an USB Type C port and OTG support. The 7 color LED remains key here. By the way, the technology choice here is top notch, with a Panasonic camera, Samsung memory and Sharp screen. We’ll be back with a full review soon. The updated price is here.
