Allview debuted today its very first dual camera phone, the Allview X4 Soul model, that offers the users the chance to play with the Bokeh effect. This is a high end handset, priced at the equivalent of $404. It’s the locally integrated version of the Gionee S9, as Allview’s partnership with Gionee goes a long way back.
The device comes with a metal unibody case and a 2.5D glass panel. It measures 7.4 mm in thickness and weighs 167.5 grams. Its front side has the vibe of a Nokia 6 and the metal body is well built and has a nice texture to it. The selling point is the dual camera back camera, with a main Sony IMX258 12 megapixel sensor, with F/2.0 aperture and a secondary Samsung 5 MP sensor with F/2.2 aperture.
The secondary cam registers the depth of field and lets you create the bokeh effects. Upfront there’s a 13 MP selfie camera with flash that should be very capable. The Allview X4 Soul relies on a 5.5 inch Full HD screen with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and also has an octa core MediaTek Helio P10 2 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot.
There’s a 3000 mAh battery inside, with Li-Po technology and it should offer up to 14 hours of talk time. Connectivity is all here, with LTE Category 6, dual SIM slots, WiFi and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device goes on sale today.
