With Computex 2017 coming up in a few weeks, it’s logical we start thinking about the ASUS ZenFone 4 series, that should debut there. And we already have the first proof regarding the new devices. For example the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max just popped up in an ASUS database.
It all comes from the ASUS Royal Club “Online Booking System”, that goes as far as to mention the device’s name, plus its codename of ZC554KL. There are also other new devices there, three of them in total that aren’t yet available in Taiwan. One of them is the ZenFone AR, another one may be a fresh ZenFone 4, but the clearest new entry is the ZenFone 4 Max.
Listed as “ZC554KL”, the codename clearly follows up the ZC553KL of the ZenFone 3 Max. And since they don’t have codenames for nothing, each letter and figure means something. “55” means a 5.5 inch screen, “4” is the product generation and “K” means Snapdragon CPU. “L” is the support for 4G LTE connectivity. This means we’re bound to get an ASUS ZenFone 4 Max with a 5.5 inch screen and a Snapdragon 625 or even 660 CPU.
A big battery, over 4000 mAh or 5000 mAh in capacity is very likely. We’ll learn more at Computex 2017.
