Just yesterday we informed you that Apple excluded Palm Pre support from their latest iTunes version, claiming that any non-iPod product mustn’t be supported by the software. This is quite an issue for Pre owners, but now there’s a solution for this pain.

Of course, the saviour is a third party, as usual, either DVD Jon’s DoubleTwist or Sailing’s Media Sync. The latter is a simple app that sends music, podcasts and photos to most USB devices, Pre included.

Media Sync will transfer photos from the iPhone or Aperture, plus songs and podcasts via iTunes, also copying the playlist structure and playcounts of the each tune. What it doesn’t do is copy DRM music, but that’s no major issue, I guess.

You can download Media Sync and DoubleTwist for free and know that they support both OS X and Windows.
