DOOGEE is a brand we’re familiar with, having already unboxed at least one of their devices. Thus, it’s no surprise that we get another one, the DOOGEE Mix. We have it in the Aurora Blue hue and this is one of the most affordable 6 GB RAM phones out there. Priced at $179 on Banggood.com, the device gets unboxed below.

To me this feels like a Bluboo S1 lookalike, with the front camera at the lower right corner of the facade. It’s a glass sandwich, with a metal frame in between. It’s a dual camera machine, that’s quite glossy and shiny. Inside the box we found the SIM key, case, screen protection, charger, microUSB cable and manual. Available in black or dark blue, the device measures 7.95 mm in thickness and weighs 193 grams.

DOOGEE Mix packs a 5.5 inch screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and a Super AMOLED panel. Inside the handset there’s a MediaTek Helio P25 CPU, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. The Mix is a dual SIM machine, with 4G LTE support and it also offers a 3380 mAh battery, which doesn’t sound bad. We mentioned the dual camera at the back, that includes a 16 MP and 8 MP sensor, plus LED flash. Bokeh capture should happen.

Upfront there’s a 5 MP shooter and then there’s the fingerprint scanner. Charging is done at 5V/2A, with the bundled charger. The phone is a looker, although a bit heavy. I have great expectations from its battery and camera. We’ll be back with a full review soon enough.

In the meantime you can get the handset on these retailers:
