With only two weeks left till MWC 2018 starts, leaks start to get bigger and more detailed. ASUS for example just had its ZenFone 5 detailed via user manuals and renders, as well as the ZenFone 5 Lite. We check them both out below.
ASUS has an event scheduled at MWC 2018, where it should unveil the latest ZenFones. Aside from the ZenFone 5, which seems to sport an iPhone X style notch, there will also be a ZenFone 5 Max with a bigger battery and a ZenFone 5 Lite. Not sure if the ZenFone 5 Pro or Ultra are happening. The ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL goes by the codename X00QD, while the ZenFone 5 Lite ZC600KL is known as X017DA.
ZenFone 5 Lite is all about the camera action, with two back cameras and also two front shooters, including a front side LED flash. This device is said (and shown) to have an 18:9 screen panel with a 6 inch diagonal most likely, judging by its codename. It also has a dual 16 MP back camera and a front shooter that hooks up 20 MP sensors, plus the flash.
Specs include a Snapdragon 630 or S660 CPU, 3 or 4 GB of RAM, plus a HD+ screen.
The ZenFone 5 adopts a notch like the iPhone X, meaning it either has a special face scanner, or that’s just meant for looks. It comes with an 18:9 display, also a 6 incher, probably with Full HD+ or Quad HD+ resolution. A more powerful CPU is expected inside, perhaps the not yet released Snapdragon 670.
A special Face scanner should be included and we also see a dual back camera, fingerprint scanner and the audio jack is also safe at the bottom. An USB Type-C port is included. The device’s housing is made of aluminum and glass. We’ll learn more at MWC 2018.
