We’re more than a month and a half away from the unveiling of the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus and it’s time for some major leaks today. The devices have been leaked in new renders, made to look like real life shots and have also been certified by TENAA.
Starting with the renders, we see a pretty big notch at the top of the device, plus narrow side bezels. The device’s screen has curved corners and what appear to be two front cameras (or maybe Face ID style sensors). The TENAA website now shows the Huawei P20 series, which reveals two model numbers of 3 Huawei phones that got certified in China. We’re talking about Huawei EML-TL000 and EML-AL00, which are two of the three models.
The letters “EML” may refer to Emily, which is the codename of the Huawei P20. The two Huawei devices with model numbers CLT-AL00 and CLT-TL00 could allude to “Charlotte”, another codename for a future device, that may just be Huawei P20 Plus in two versions. No specs or imagines have been made public by TENAA, sadly. We expect those to pop up over the next days.
Both devices are said to ship with Android Oreo on board and they should both have triple rear cameras. Glass and ceramics design should be here too. No trace of the Huawei P20 Lite has appeared on TENAA just yet, but that device has been certified by FCC already. P20 and P20 Plus are said to sport a glass or ceramic back panel and leaks mention a 6.2 inch WQHD OLED full screen display, 6 GB of RAM and the Kirin 970 CPU.
The back camera could have Leica tech and use a monochrome sensor, color sensor, as well as a wide angle lens. We expect more legit shots to appear over the next days.
