While many of us are waiting for the goodies promised by Nokia at Nokia World 2009 (among which there’s also the next N97 firmware), 5800 XpressMusic users have a reason to rejoice: the new firmware is available, version 31.2.008.
If you’re curious regarding the changes brought by the new firmware, know that 31.2.008 brings performance improvements, Ovi Maps 3.0 with pedestrian and in-car navigation (new versions). No trace of kinetic scrolling, or a new homescreen layout, but we can wait, right?
The homescreen email notification for Nokia Messaging wasn’t fixed sadly and all in all this can be considered a maintenance release.
