A recent study made by market research firm Interpret reveals that Palm Pre has a pretty impressive mindshare, second only to the iPhone 3GS. The report bears the name of “Signature Smartphones: Gaining Mindshare in Order to Gain Market Share” and you can check out the statistics below if you don’t believe us.

This study mentions the factors that make the public buy a smartphone, narrowing the list down to 3 major components: the coolness/ hip factor, the belief that the handset is “smart” and the productivity of the device. BlackBerry Curve and Storm, T-Mobile G1 and the iPhone were all part of the study, but only the iPhone and Palm Pre managed to score all 3 factors with a balance.
