HTC is getting ready to take advantage of a very fertile Indian mobile market, specially since an auction for the 3G spectrum will be held in the country in December. Following the launch of the associated 3G services by October 2010, HTC plans on introducing a couple of 3G phones in India.
The handset maker expects to get a 25% market share by March 2010 and you have to know that HTC currently sells 12 smartphones on the Indian market, 5 with 3G support. The models are Touch Diamond2, Touch HD, Magic, HTC Hero and Touch 3G. Ajay Sharma, head of HTC India said that the company will launch 2 or 3 devices per quarter, some with Sense UI on board.
This user interface will particularly appeal to the public, since it allows the user to access online content, social networking features, entertainment services and more.
