After having a look at Acer’s MWC 2009 handsets, we found them to be very similar to the E-Ten devices of the past, but that’s not a coincidence, since Acer acquired E-Ten in 2008. Now, two of these handsets are ready for launch, in the following weeks: DX900 and X960.
DX900 will arrive before this month ends, packing a 2.8 inch VGA touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1, Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi. This is a dual SIM device that supports quad band GSM and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity.
X960 should hit the market next month, without dual SIM capacity and much with the same specs as DX900. The other two Acer handsets showcased at MWC 2009, M900 and F900 should be launched in late Q2 2009.
