Alcatel has decided to put its two One Touch Idol models on sale today in the Philippinnes, between local time 4 PM and 6 PM. The promotion is meant for local malls and Alcatel kiosks all over the country. The price reduction is about $30 and is only available today.
This means that the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra goes from about $354 to $319 or so, via this reduction. The handset was announced in January, release in April and comes with a microSIM card slot, Dragon Trail glass protection and a 4.65 inch 720p display. It also has 16 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and just like the Oppo Finder model we tested, it has no audio jack, relying on an adaptor instead.
Other specs include HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, an 8 megapixel camera, Android 4.1 and a dual core Cortex A9 1.2 GHz processor. The device comes in red, black, yellow, green and turquoise. The other model on sale, the Alcatel One Touch Idol packs an IPS LCD 4.66 inch display with qHD resolution, 4 GB of storage, an 8 megapixel camera, dual core 1 GHz MTK6577+ processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. There’s also stereo FM radio and a Li-Ion 1800 mAh battery.
