Alcatel One Touch View is a Windows Phone model that we found out about a few days ago and now it appears that it will also be released in China, but under a different moniker. Since the phone and actually all Alcatel phones are made by Chinese company TCL, it kind of makes sense that its branding will be applied locally.

Thus, the One Touch View gets the name TCL 606 Horizon in China. This is an entry level phone with Windows Phone 7.8 on board, a 4 inch WVGA display, a 1 GHz single core processor and a 5 megapixel camera at the back. There’s also a VGA front camera, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. We don’t know exactly when the TCL S606 will hit China, but what’s sure is that this will happen before the year end.

The design of the device is actually kind of pretty, with the facade reminding me of the Samsung Omnia 7 and the back incorporating the camera with a little slope. I hope there’s a decent battery inside and maybe, with a bit of luck the case is not too plasticky.
