The TCL Corporation announced a few days ago that it was preparing a new flagship, known as the Idol X+. As you known, TCL and Alcatel have been an item for years now, so we’re actually preparing for a new Alcatel smartphone.

The Idol X+ comes with an octa core processor and TCL will partner with the Chinese online retailer JD.com to release the device. The Idol X+ is supposed to be the successor of the Idol X on the market. The Idol X packs a 5 inch Full HD screen, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and a 13 megapixel camera at the back.

Basically, Idol X+ is an Idol X with enhanced specs. As shown by these leaked images, the device has a slim bezel and the handset is also slim. There’s a MediaTek logo on the back of the handset, confirming the CPU identity. I expect a showcasing a MWC 2014 unveiling or maybe a CES one.
