Allview A5 Quad is the latest handset from Allview, a very affordable quad core smartphone that we detail below. We’re dealing with a device launched in early January and a model that costs only $187.
This product is bundled with a screen protection, a cleaning rag, headphones, Bitdefender Mobile Security, USB cable and charger. The Allview A5 Quad is a dual SIM handset that measures 10.9 mm in thickness and weighs 153.7 grams. It integrates a TFT LCD 4.3 inch display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and it runs Android 4.2.2.
Under the hood it has a Cortex A7 quad core 1.3 GHz CPU, a Mali 400 MP GPU and GPS. There’s also 3G video calling enabled here, 4 GB of storage and 512 MB of RAM. FM radio, HD voice and a 5 megapixel back cam round up the specs list, as well as a front 0.3 MP camera. The back camera does Full HD video and supports autofocus.
This model relies on a Li-Ion 1700 mAh battery, that offers 212 hours of standby. Allview also bundled a custom UI here, as show in the unboxing video. We’ll be back with a review before you know it.
