Romanian company Allview unveiled today the P5 Qmax, a brand new quad core phablet and in case this name sounds familiar, we’ve reviewed at least half a dozen of their handsets so far. The Qmax is pictured below and you should know it’s priced at around $360.
This is a 5.3 inch device with an 8 megapixel camera at the back, relying on a OV8830 module. The display supports a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and the device measures a pretty bulky 9.9 mm in thickness. The handset runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it will be launched this month. It’s basically a dual SIM phablet, that weighs 176.9 grams and relies on a TFT LCD panel for the display.
The brain power of the phablet comes from a Cortex A7 1.2 GHz quad core processor with a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU, accompanied by 4 GB of flash storage (2 GB available to the user), 1 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot and FM radio. There’s also a Yamaha audio amplifier for extra acoustic quality and the battery is a Li-Ion 3000 mAh unit.
