Here we are again, with another battery phone, this time the Allview P8 Energy Pro, a locally integrated version of the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus. We’re dealing with a 6 inch mega phablet here, one that sports a big battery, with a capacity of over 5000 mAh. Below you can watch it being taken out of the box. This model was launched in December 2015 and it’s priced at $405.

It’s a very familiar device to us, since we’ve already reviewed the Gionee Marathon M5 and M5 Mini. Inside the box we find the manual, Bitdefender Mobile Security code, USB type C cable, charger, headphones, metal key to access the slots and a protective film for the screen, as well as an USB OTG cable.

In spite of being such a beefy device, this handset measures 8.4 mm in thickness, but it still weighs a hefty 209.8 grams. The 6 incher has an AMOLED Full HD panel, as well as an octa core MediaTek processor and 3 GB of RAM. It includes 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. At the back we find a 13 megapixel camera, while selfies are being taken with a 5 MP shooter upfront.

There’s also 4G LTE in the mix here, an USB Type C port and HD voice. I’m sure you also noticed the front side’s fingerprint scanner embedded within a Home button. Finally, the core of the package is certainly the 5020 mAh battery, that’s supposed to offer up to 450 hours of standby functioning, plus 1350 minutes of talk time.

This device also stands out through its front 2.5D screen panel. We’ll be back with a review very soon.
