If you’re frustrated by the fact that HTC didn’t make available a Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade for HTC Touch HD, there’s another solution waiting for you: Android OS 2.0.1. See the platform running on the HTC smartphone in the video below:

The usual bugs are present and connectivity issues will also appear (lack of WiFi or Bluetooth), plus a bit of lag, if you’re paying attention to the video. This is a test build, so expect fixes soon, specially if you’re kind enough to make a few comments and provide feedback to the developers.

This system is based on haret, so there’s no flashing involved, meaning that your handset will be restored to Windows Mobile on soft reset.
