Remember when HTC Germany announced on its Facebook account that the Wildfire model was going to get the Froyo update till the year end? Well, it’s happening now and it seems that this week the handset will receive Android 2.2, at least in Europe, as confirmed on HTC’s official Facebook page.
Froyo will be available on all Wildfire models worldwide by February and we’re curious when and if Gingerbread will ever hit this device. We have this curiosity mostly because we saw the OS being ported to the handset, so its 528MHz is capable of running Android 2.3, with some tweaks.
For now, let’s all enjoy Froyo and wait for the notification regarding the update.
