If you’re a HTC Desire owner and you feel sorry for not being able to run Froyo, like your Nexus One brothers, there’s a solution for you. You can now use XDA’s new ROM to run Android on the device, thanks to a port recently available on the web.

An improvement brought by the fresh ROM, from the developer “udk” is the support for HD 720p video capture on Desire. The handset features a 5 megapixel camera and the new feature should allow it to capture video like the iPhone 4 and Motorola Droid X. There’s a video below showing the full power of the Desire’s camera.

The new Froyo ROM also includes HTC Sense, support for Adobe Flash and a JIT compiler for better system performance. Switching between apps is smoother than ever and the visual experience is great.
