Good news for those who rushed and bought a Motorola Droid X handset: the device is getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update as we speak. Some of you might have installed it yesterday, while some of you did that today, but what’s important is that it’s here to improve the device’s features.
What does this new software bring? Here’s a short list:
– Adobe Flash Player 10.1 for Android
– enhanced browser performance
– screen rotating at 270 degrees to the left or right, when passing from portrait to landscape mode
– automatic app updates
– Google Maps performance enhancements
– improved Exchange connectivity and ActiveSync email notifications
– VZ Navigator upgrades
– improved 3G Mobile Hotspot feature
… and more.
