We’ve seen spy shots and concept designs of the Android G2 handset till now, but seemingly the latest spy pics are genuine (aren’t they all?). Turns out that the new Android device is thinner, glossier and lacks the sliding QWERTY keypad.

The T-Mobile G2 bears the HTC branding and surprises us all with a 3.2 megapixel camera.

The same mysterious source that leaked the photos to Gizmodo also mentioned a May launch for the Android G2. Notice how the interface of the device resembles that of the G1 and it should, as I doubt that Google and its partners have finished developing Android 2.0 or whatever it is they’re working on.
