Asus revealed today a new smartphone device for the Chinese market, more precisely the Pegasus 5000, phone pictured down below. This new product brings an interesting design where the back cover offers a special texture that will keep scratches and dust away.
In terms of hardware specs we have a 5.5 inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels), an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, and a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. There’s a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, 4G LTE Cat.4 support (up to 150 Mbps – download / up to 50 Mbps – upload), and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
Other options when it comes to connectivity are represented by the following: WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), dual-SIM support (2x microSIM), a microUSB v2.0 port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. This phablet comes in the package with a 4850 mAh battery that promises at least 2 days of autonomy in a moderate use. When it comes to the price, the 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage variant will cost you $197, while the 3 GB RAM model will be priced at $273.
