ASUS is said to be preparing a new smartwatch with a low price and a focus on fitness and health. The new model is supposed to debut in May, with 10 days of battery life and IP67 certification.
This water and dust resilient model has leaked before, via a Bluetooth SIG listing in January. It would appear that ASUS is expanding its Vivo lineup from tablets to watches. The product won’t run Android Wear and it will have an affordable price. Initially we expected it to debut at MWC, but now it may come next month, according to ASUS partners.
It’ll offer a heart rate sensor, pedometer, sleep tracker and a monochrome display. A stainless steel body and a colored light indicator bar below the display are also mentioned by various sources. ASUS has a conference planned at the end of April in New York, where we may learn new details.
