AT&T has just announced the availability of two of the most awaited smartphones of 2009, HTC Tilt 2 and HTC Pure, coming with Windows Mobile 6.5. Both new models come with an enhanced TouchFLO 3D interface and impressive touchscreens to deliver a very user-friendly experience.
We also have to mention that AT&T will support Windows Marketplace for Mobile in 2009, on devices like HTC Pure and Tilt 2, plus many more. Moving on to the specifics, HTC Tilt 2 is a smartphone for business professionals and it comes with a stylish case, a 3.6 inch widescreen WVGA display and a large QWERTY keyboard.
You can tilt the display for extra viewing area and you also have to know that there are dual speakers on board, delivering neat audio quality and dual microphones with noise cancellation support. HTC’s StraightTalk technology was also employed for creating this phone and at the back of Tilt 2 you’ll find a 3.2 megapixel camera.
HTC Pure is a device we’ve seen leaked a while back and some major sites even got to play with it recently, but we’ll just have to remind you that it comes with a 3.2 inch WVGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with video capture, a gravity sensor and an ambient light sensor. This is a compact smartphone, that also features expandable memory and email.
As far as pricing is concerned, HTC Pure is now available at AT&T retail stores and online for $149.99, while HTC Tilt 2 will come to the market in the following weeks for $299.99, with a 2 year agreement on both handsets and a minimum plan of $69.99.
