BenQ and the Italian carrier TIM have just launched the S6, a Mobile Internet Device (MID) that features the popular Intel Atom processor and a decent list of specs you’ll find out after the break.
BenQ S6 comes with a 4.8 inches display, 3.5G and WLAN support plus Bluetooth, all of them in a 370 grams package. The MID also includes 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM and SSD (PATA) 2G hard drive, a HD audio codec, a speaker, USB 2.0 and a microSD card reader. Its battery is a 7.4V 1880 mAh unit and you should also know that this BenQ comes with a stylus touch pen and support for the following types of files:
Image: JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF
Video: Ogg, MPEG1, H.264, MPEG4, MPEG2, DivX 5/6, VC1, WMV9, MJPEG
Audio: WAV, Ogg, MP3, MIDI
Get it from TIM at 429 EURO, not too much of a price, considering it can compete with several popular netbooks on the market right now.
