Remember the rumours concerning a clamshell BlackBerry? Well, they’re back, now with the support of a real life photo of such a device… We’re talking about the BlackBerry 9670 model, pictured below and sporting a clamshell design.

The Pearl Flip is not counted as one, in case you’re wondering and we have to say that the new handset is quite… ugly. What’s really interesting is that the phone runs BlackBerry OS 6.0 and if you’re wondering about the specs, BlackBerry 9670 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel camera and WiFi.

There’s also a 360 x 480 pixel internal display on board, a pretty big external display, a trackpad and a microUSB port among the features. You’ll also find a microSD card slot on the new BlackBerry, plus Bluetooth support and a metallic finish casing. This is not the final design, so things can change, for the better, we hope.
