If you’ve been reading the tech-related news lately, you might surely know that BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 has already hit the US. Pearl 8220 has just been launched today in Canada, via Rogers and it’s available for $49.99 with a 3 year contract and a $35 per month plan. The handset is available now in its black version, but there will also be a pink one on the market in the next weeks.
If you think that this is no big news, let us remind you the specs of the impressive flip phone. Pearl 8220 comes with quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, WiFi, BlackBerry Maps, Stereo Bluetooth and a 2 megapixel camera with flash. The handset incorporates a TFT QVGA internal display (2.6 inches) and an external display (128 x 160 pixels).
Pearl Flip 8220 supports Rogers TalkSpot and also features a SureType QWERTY keypad, BlackBerry Maps and a HTML browser plus push email. The external memory of the device will be up to 16GB, while the battery will last 4 hours (talk time) or 14 days (standby).
