The Wall Street Journal has a tip concerning RIM’s rumoured BlackBerry tablet, supposedly called the BlackTab and packing a 5 megpaixel camera, plus a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This is a touchscreen slate we’re talking about, also featuring 4GB of internal memory and support for 3G connectivity, but only with the aid of a BlackBerry smartphone.
BlackTab’s specs may include a virtual keyboard, used in portrait mode, an universal search feature (looks stuff up both locally and online) and BlackBerry OS 6.0, supposed to debut on “a device” at the end of Q3 2010. RIM doesn’t want to comment on the speculation and we’re really curious to learn where WSJ got their info…
