Samsung Galaxy Note is not the only oversized smartphone out there, since there’s another model with the exact same diagonal size: 5.3 inches. This hybrid of a device is the BLU Studio 5.3, that combines the looks of a tablet with the functions of a phone, but in a more affordable package.

This 5.3 incher costs a mere $259.99 and it’s most likely contract-free, judging by the mediocre specs. although the device runs Android, its hardware makes me think of it like a perfect match for Windows Phone. BLU Studio 5.3 features a 5.3 inch display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a single core 800 MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a 5 megapixel camera at the back. At the front there’s a VGA camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread serves as the operating system of choice.

I must mention that this is a dual SIM device with a 2,500 mAh battery and unlocked GSM capability. This means you’ll be able to use the handset anywhere on the globe without hassle. Expansys’ website offers this product, although I highly doubt you’ll find it in other countries as well…
