We’ve already reviewed the Bluboo S8 and found it OK, especially in the design department and now it’s time for its bigger version. The Bluboo S8 Plus is taken out of the box below and you should know it’s priced at $164.99 on TomTop.com, $169.99 on GeekBuying.com and $159 on GearBest.com.
The Bluboo S8 Plus, much like the S8 feels like an imitation of the Samsung Galaxy S8, this time Galaxy S8+, thanks to the size. However, this model comes with a dual camera, so it’s more of a preview for Galaxy S9+. This is a 6 inch phablet with a dual camera and inside its box there are two USB Type-C cables for some reason and also two USB Type-C to audio adapters.
Can’t tell why, but they’re just there. There’s also a charger, a case, screen protector, manual and metal key. We’ve got 3D curved glass at the front and at the back and this is a narrow smartphone, which fits in the hand very well. Bluboo claims that this phone has a zinc and titanium chassis and also has a CNC cut metal frame. The build is premium for sure.
We’ve got some premium providers of components here, like Sharp for the 6 inch screen and Sony for the camera sensors. Bluboo S8 Plus packs a 6 inch 18:9 1440 x 720 pixel display, an octa core MediaTek MT6750T processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot, plus a 3600 mAh battery to end the list. On the camera front, we’ve got a 16 MP + 3 MP dual camera, with a dual LED flash, while selfies are taken with a 5 MP shooter.
Through interpolation it can reach 8 megapixels. The S8 Plus is a dual SIM phone, with an USB Type-C port and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with 360 OS on top. I can’t wait to test the dual camera, battery and performance to see if they’re on par with the pretty design. We’ll be back with a full review in 2018.
