It appears that Motorola is the only Android phone maker who actually cares about bigger batteries on new handsets. Well, not exactly, since now there’s a company from China called Changhong, that created a stunning smartphone with a big 5,000 mAh battery, the Z9.
This beats all the Motorola Maxx units and certainly every Galaxy S4 unit. We’ve heard about the Lenovo P780 and Oppo Find 7 rumored to come with 4000 mAh batteries, but the Changhong Z9 is truly a biggie. This Android smartphone measures less than 9 mm in thickness, in spite of having a battery that’s almost twice the capacity of the Galaxy S4’s power source.
The Z9 also comes with a 5.5 inch HD display, an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.2 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor, as well as 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the OS. Sadly, this unit is very likely to remain in China for the rest of its existence… I’d buy it in a heartbeat!
