China Telecom announced today a new ASUS phone, the ASUS “Pegasus”, which we’re not sure is a codename or the real commercial name of the product. It’s also known as the ASUS X003A, apparently.

This model runs Android 4.4 KitKat and relies on a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The device comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD display, as well as a main 8 MP camera with CMOS sensor and a front 5 MP shooter. There’s also LTE Category 4 in the mix, that offers a max download speed of 150 Mbps. Other specs include dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi.

NFC, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage round up the specs list. Finally, the ASUS Pegasus offers a 2500 mAh battery and it will come in black or white. There’s no clear indication of the price of this newcomer. From what I can see, it looks like a smaller FonePad.
