A recent smartphone survey done by ChangeWave shows an explosive growth of consumer demand in the high end device segment. Involving 4,028 consumers, the study was completed on June 24th and we learn that it takes a close look at the demand for the fresh iPhone 4 and HTC Droid Incredible, for example.
The key findings of the survey are the following:
– in the next 90 days more people than ever in a ChangeWave study intend to purchase smartphones
– Apple and HTC have taken big leaps forward, while Motorola and RIM lag behind
– mobile OS preferences have changed, with an important demand for Apple OS and downturn for RIM OS
Customer satisfaction is strangely enough dominated by the Apple iPhone, with 73% of the owners reporting they are Very Satisfied with the product, followed by HTC, with 39% of customers pleased with their phones and Motorola, with 34%, then Palm, with 34% as well.
Also, ChangeWave found that the iPhone 4 and iOS 4 generated a spike in smartphone demand, as well as HTC’s most recent Android phones: Droid Incredible and HTC EVO 4G.
