I know this is a 2011 game, but I simply missed it on other platforms, so I guess it was time to finally try it on Windows Phone 8. I used a Nokia Lumia 820 for the task and totally fell in love with the game.
We’re dealing here with a physics puzzle title, one that was created by developer Mokus and published by Chillingo. The soundtrack is the best part of the game and we have composer David Ari Leon to thank for that. The tunes remind me of Enio Moricone a little bit, which is very cool. The concept of Contre Jour goes something like this: you control a tiny blot called Petit and you connect to the world around you by altering it a bit.
You have to manipulate the environment, other pieces of blobs and various critters in order to make your character reach and collect blue fragments of light. The game has 5 level packs, each with 20 levels. You’ll go from nocturnal levels to phosphorescent ones and also venture into a more sci fi level with the Machine area. The game is fantastic and deserves a solid 10 out of 10. You can download it from here.
