Coolpad is one of the big players on the smartphone and tablet market in China and now they’re expanding to India, by launching the Coolpad Max flagship in this country. Priced at $370, the device is exclusively available on Amazon India from May 30 in Rose Gold and Royal Gold.
The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the CoolUI 8.0 on top. It comes with dual SIM dual standby capabilities and it brings forth a 5.5 inch Full HD screen, with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa core CPU, clocked at 1.5 GHz. This is actually an improved Coolpad Max, since the Chinese version only has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.
There’s also 4 GB of RAM on board, 64 GB of storage and this model has a hybrid SIM slot, meaning the second SIM card slot can be used as a microSD slot as well, in order to expand storage. At the back there’s a 13 megapixel camera with Isocell sensor, F/2.0 aperture and PDAF, while upfront we find a 5 MP shooter with F/2.2 aperture.
4G LTE and a 2800 mAh battery round up the specs list, together with a fingerprint scanner.
