Ericsson is present at CTIA Wireless 2009 to show is brand new HSPA multi-carrier MIMO technology, that allows connections to reach downlink data rates of 56Mbps. The technology enables instantaneous connections for users and immediate web page loading, all of that achieved thanks to the MIMO (multiple-input-multiple-output) and multi-carrier HSPA technology.

The CTIA demo will be done using a concept Ericsson mobile broadband router with HSPA support. The device can share a mobile broadband connection between users with great efficiency and it can be used anywhere.

HSPA multi-carrier technology with MIMO will be implemented commercially by 2010 and by the end of 2009, Ericsson will deploy multi-carrier technology with 42Mbps speeds on the mass market.
