The Motorola X has been spotted here and there a few times in recent history, with one of the leaks showing the phone in Eric Schmidt’s hand last week. Now we’ve come across an official press render, courtesy of good old @evleaks.

Aside from the press render, we find out that the device will be unveiled on August 1st, during an official press event. Also, the finalized specs list is confirmed and it’s exactly as we knew it. Moto X will come with a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, with 1.7 GHz clock speed and Adreno 320, so this is a new flavour of CPU.

There’s also 2 GB of RAM, a 720p 4.7 inch display, a 2.1 MP camera at the front and a back 10.5 MP cam. The handset runs Android 4.2.2, has 16 GB of storage, NFC and we’ve also seen some benchmarks hitting the web. In AnTuTu this model scores around 18 to 19k points, which is pretty impressive for a dual core model, while in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme we reach an even more impressive 7100 points. Let’s hope the price tag is good…
