OnePlus continues its expansion in Asia by opening up the first OnePlus flagship store, an official one in India. It’s built at the Prime Mall in Mumbai and follows a series of flagship stores opened in China over the past years. The debut of the new location coincides with the debut of the OnePlus 5T Lava Red version locally.
The new flagship hue is available from this weekend in India. Starting with January 20, OnePlus will be using its offline channels to boost sales. This mustn’t be confused with its Experience stores, since we are talking about authorized outlets here, that will focus on sales of OnePlus products. Experience stores, like the Bengaluru one serve to let users try new products at the store.
It’s also a place where the OnePlus community will be able to collaborate and share new ideas. The flagship store has been inaugurated in one of the biggest Metro cities, Mumbai. It’s found in Irla, Vile Parle (West) of the town. Taking part in the inauguration, OnePlus General Manager, Vikas Agarwal talked about customer satisfaction being the core of the OnePlus strategy.
OnePlus already made a deal with Croma Retail last year, trying to boost its offline presence. That lead to the opening of the Bengaluru Experience Store in 2017. It’s clear why the company is doing this: awareness, a sense of powerful brand, fans coming together and getting to actually feel and play with a phone before you buy it. It’s been done before, by the likes of Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi.
A special offer with the opening includes the free Bullet V2 earphones with smartphones purchased at launch.
