Even if Foxconn is one of the biggest factories where the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are made through some contracts from Apple that are transposing into big revenues for the company, the leadership decided to offer support for local brands like Xiaomi, Meitu, Oppo and Meizu in order to sell more smartphones.
Also, Foxconn hopes that once the Chinese smartphones will start to sell a lot better, the reliance on Apple orders to be reduced as they’re going to recevice as many orders from the above smartphone producers. In this way, by selling a lot of smartphone both in China and in other markets, the revenues will stay at the same level.
As we found out a while ago, one of these Chinese companies, more precisely Xiaomi, invested a lot of money in the enlarging the production line of the Xiaomi Mi4 assembly, flagship phone that was announced back in July.
