In case you’re not familiar with Gigaset, this is a company that makes cordless phones, coming from Germany and started in 2008. It all began when they bought 80.2% of the Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices stocks from Siemens AG and now they’re getting into smartphones. One such high end model is coming at IFA 2015 and has been leaked below.
We’re dealing with a device that popped up in AnTuTu with the Gigaset branding on and may mark the return of Siemens in handset making over the next years, with or without their actual brand. Codenamed Gigaset GS55-6, the smartphone shown here has also leaked in a few pictures and according to AnTuTu it packs a Full HD display, as well as 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
It has a Snapdragon 810 processor, as well as a 16 megapixel back camera and an 8 megapixel front shooter. Android 5.1.1 is the OS of choice here and sadly we have no idea what the screen diagonal will be. Judging by the pics, the handset sports a metal frame and it lacks capacitive or a physical Home button, for example. Expect more leaks soon!
